Children's Brain Tumor Foundation
 
Non-profit organization dedicated to improving the treatment, quality of life and long-term outlook for children with brain and spinal chord tumors. Provides education, support, advocacy, and grants for researchers. Programs include Family Outreach Project and Parent-to-Parent Network. Web site includes an extensive section just for kids, with information and games.
 
Sibling Support Project
 
National program dedicated to the interests of brothers and sisters of people with special health and developmental needs, including cancer. The Project's primary goal is to increase the availability of peer support and education opportunities for brothers and sisters of people with special health and developmental needs.

Association of Cancer Online Resources
 
A large collection of cancer-related Internet mailing lists. Also assists users in finding and using credible information relevant to their illness. Children's cancer group is called 4YOUth.
 
Cancer Therapy & Research Center
 
Not-for-profit, multidisciplinary, outpatient cancer clinic and research center. Affiliated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) and the San Antonio Cancer Institute. Together they form a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Cancer Center.
 
San Antonio Cancer Institute
 
Provides cancer treatment information, clinical trials, support for patients and caregivers, financial information for patients, and other services. Represents the combined cancer research programs of the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC) and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA).
 
National Cancer Institute
 
The Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. Provides up-to-date health information about the cause, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and the continuing care of cancer patients and their families.
 
American Cancer Society
 
Nationwide non-profit organization that provides information on most types of cancer, plus offers a wide variety of community programs and services through its regional affiliates.
 
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
 
Dedicated to advancing research, providing information, services, and improving quality of life of patients with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.

Ronald McDonald House
 
Provides a wide variety of services for families, including housing for patients and their families who must travel out of town to receive cancer treatment.
 
Cancer Care
 
Provides professional help to people with all cancers through counseling, education, information and referral and direct financial assistance.
 
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation
 
Provides programs and services for families of kids with cancer. Offers a wide variety of practical information, support and financial help. Created by parents of children who are being treated or have been treated for cancer, children with cancer, survivors of childhood cancer, family members, health care professionals and educators.
 
National Childhood Cancer Foundation
 
Supports cancer research, promotes education and advocacy for the needs of children with cancer. Web site offers many kids stories, plus concise information about different cancers.

Offers booklets and on-line information including medical information, practical information, and emotional support.
 
National Childhood Cancer Society
 
Provides financial help, patient and family services, and a wide variety of information. The "Links" section is especially extensive, with listings of web sites for kids with cancer, camps, clinical trials, grief, health insurance, medical information, nutrition, scholarships, support, transportation, and more.
 
Wish Foundations

Make-A-Wish Foundation
 
Pays for the cost of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Common wishes include trips to theme parks, visits with sports or entertainment stars, or opportunities to work with firefighters, police officers, or other professionals.
